Writing Circles

A safe haven for creative expression.

As a certified writing circle facilitator since 2015, I design and facilitate intentional and supportive writing circle sessions designed to quiet your inner critic, awaken your unique voice, and connect you with a community of kindred spirits. Whether you are an experienced author or picking up a pen for the first time, our structured, gentle sessions offer the accountability and creative inspiration you need to let your stories flow. Join us to write, share, and be heard in an atmosphere of radical hospitality and deep encouragement.

I have facilitated one-time, short series, and ongoing writing sessions for:

  • Teens and Adults – general and specific topics of interest

  • In- and After-school groups

  • Grief Support Groups

  • Domestic Violence Support Groups

  • Veterans

  • Families struggling to communicate

  • "Thank you so much for holding space for this group and allowing us to heal through writing and support in a way I never knew possible."

    — R.J. Writing Circle Participant

  • "I came to class tonight tired and irritable, but as the class progressed, I could feel the common thread of our stories start to 'iron out my wrinkles.' Sometimes it is hard to have the energy to be present, but I am so thankful that I show up and am met there"

    — S.C. Grief Writing Circle Participant

  • "I love the rich resources, open-hearted women, the grace of words and meaning-making as we each bring our stories to the circle, which is held generously by Pam"

    — E.D. Writing Circle Participant

  • "The gifts of this class were many — the readings, the writing, each and every voice. Over and over again, I began to hear writers making meaning of grief — both individual and community grief. I felt the tenderness of awareness and deep sharing of wisdom."

    — M.D. Grief Writing Circle Participant

  • "I am thankful that I joined this writing experience. It's a place where people share, are heard without being judged or being offered solutions or advise. Love the facilitator!"

    — R.L. Writing Circle Participant

  • "I am sparked by the idea of exploring my own story by listening to others and starting to write myself."

    — F.R. Writing Circle Participant

  • "I didn’t realize how much sadness I was holding in my heart. I felt my heart opening to other's grief and saw the relief in sharing their stories. It was good to know that that I am not alone. It’s so special to be a part of a group that is grieving together. "
